- Research Study Participant

Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease

Age is the biggest risk factor for Alzheimer’s disease, which currently affects 36 million people worldwide. Results from several large drug trials have been sobering with no effective treatments for halting, slowing, or preventing cognitive decline associated with Alzheimer’s disease.

Why participate in research?

There are many reasons why people choose to join a research study. Many say they choose to volunteer as a way to give back for current and future generations. Joining a clinical trial can help researchers find ways to prevent, detect, and treat dementia.

The Pa lab is passionate about these issues, but we can’t do it alone. Scientific research is dependent upon individuals to volunteer to participate and help us work together to find ways to improve brain health for older adults. We are grateful for your support!
